This month was honestly just … weird for me? Between adjusting to being at home, papers, and getting ready to go away again, this month has been pretty much a roller coaster with my mental health–which means that reading hasn’t been a priority of mine, but I’m still here and kicking.
books
So I read eight books, which really isn’t all too bad! I also liked most of them, which I’m quite pleased about, because it doesn’t happen often. I found my new favourite book of the year: Red, White & Royal Blue.
I was also able to do my first blog tour with Mary Fan’s Stronger Than a Bronze Dragon, which was so exciting. I think I definitely want to take part in more blog tours in the future–I just need to stop doing them when my schedule is already so full!

- Happy Belated Pride, folks! I know I didn’t do any posts for Pride, and I wish I did — I had one prepared, but ultimately chickened out on actually posting it. Maybe next year? I’m still a book blogging bi all year long, folks.
- I finally watched Detective Pikachu!! After playing Pokemon Go, I’ve started to really love Pokemon despite it never being part of my childhood, and Pikachu is so flippin’ adorable.
- I’m officially in my fifth year of university. Yikes. At least I got on the Dean’s List this last year, so that’s an accomplishment?
- I’m also going away for the summer to the other side of the country for a French immersion program, so I’m a bit worried about how reading and blogging will factor into it? But, okay, listen, my favourite classic was originally written in French, so I can try to incorporate them? Mon français est tres pathetique. The only French I know has to do with Les Misérables. Help.
- Otherwise, my life has been pretty boring. Also there’s a moth the size of my hand outside my window GET IT AWAY—
June:
It consisted of watching the live action movie of Aladdin, the Tonys, and outdoor symphonies.

Because of the Tony’s, I got fascinated by Hadestown. Now want to see it.
